Hi there!
I am a BCRPA certified Personal trainer & Bootcamp
instructor who's love of fitness and sport has inspired me to motivate
and coach others in achieving their own fitness success stories! This
is my passion, this is what I do, and I know you will see a difference
training with me!
I have been involved in sports & fitness as far back
as I can remember...I was never a natural athlete though, and had to
work really hard at it! That experience and hard work has benefited
me in many other ways other than just making me a better athlete...It
developed my character and the person that I am today!
As a young teen, I found a friend in the sport of boxing
and spent the rest of my teens and early 20's focused on this sport.
I competed at the Provincial and National level for several years and
learned a lot about physical and mental discipline as well as the kind
of determination it takes to be a successful athlete. It was never easy,
and the training was tough but I can look back now and see just how
much it has taught how me to rise to the occasion facing any kind challenge
in my life.
Over the last decade I have been involved in distance
running, participating in many organized races including the 2008 Boston
Marathon! What an experience that was! I have not only noticed the physical
benefits of running, but have found that it can offer a spiritual strength
as well. This strength has pushed me to live in the moment of each run
through not only the body but the mind as well. It was at this point
in my life when I came to realize that health & fitness is where
I thrive and that it's truly the profession I need to be involved in.
Working as a Personal Trainer allows me to share my passion
and knowledge of fitness and sport! I have also been volunteering as
a running coach at the Victoria YMCA for the past 5 years helping people
of all running abilities reach their fitness objectives successfully.
Having a clear goal and the right training plan is the foundation for
a healthy lifestyle. And that's where I come in...
I believe in training outside whenever possible...it energizes
the body, awakens the mind and strengthens the spirit- especially on
